Howard's journey:

Upon graduating from University of Florida, Howard launched his diverse career in 1995 at the Whiting-Turner Contracting Company in Orlando, FL working in a variety of roles on construction projects ranging from warehouse, retail and office to complex theme parks. A highlight of that time was coordinating the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and kitchen equipment trades for Seuss Landing at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.

After working as the GC on the very first projects of the new master planned community of Tradition, he moved to Port St Lucie in 2003 to start a new career working for his then client in land development. From 2003 to 2009 during the building boom, he managed design consultants and contractors for various development projects for Core Communities, LLC (Tradition Development), a master planned community developer and subsidiary of Levitt Corp.

In 2007, corrosive Chinese drywall was discovered in a condominium property that he owned. While serving as the Association President in 2008, several residents began complaining about odors and failing air conditioning systems. In late December 2008, the news broke about Chinese drywall around the same time it was suspected to be throughout his condominium community. Upon the collapse of the real estate market, he founded Chinese Drywall Screening, LLC on January 19, 2009.  His background combined with the ensuing events at the time created a perfect storm and he quickly became an industry leading expert, employing a dozen of his industry colleagues in one of the worst economic times for the construction and land development industry.  Seventeen years later, Howard continues to help those still discovering issues related to the world's largest construction defect and will serve as an expert witness when called upon.  This experience created a great foundation for navigating the consulting world and better protect his clients.

In 2011, he reconnected back into the land development industry and joined Creech Engineers. Creech was subsequently purchased by Bowman Consulting Group, ltd in 2013. His time at Bowman was spent as a Senior Project Manager and Engineer of Record for civil engineering projects ranging from small and large commercial projects to large single family and multi-family communities.

For 2021 and 2022, Howard worked with Venergy Group, LLC as the Chief of Engineering and Real Estate Development.  Venergy is a SDVOSB federal contactor mostly engaged in renovations and specialty work for the Veterans Administration Hospitals around the country. Howard's primary role was to help establish policies and procedures for the rapidly growing company while working on acquisitions of properties for federal leases.

After a successful time at Venergy, Howard fulfilled a lifelong passion to move to Colorado and rejoined Bowman Consulting's Denver office.  This allowed Howard to expand his expertise in civil engineering in a much different geographic environment in his quest to expand his knowledge and experience while filling an immediate need in Bowman's Denver office.  He will be forever grateful for his time at Bowman and all the relationships he created.

After 30 years in the industry, Howard launched ECR Group, USA to give clients the best, most personalized service possible. Him and his team of experts will always strive to offer the best, most honest and highest quality expertise and services to maximize the goals of his clients.
